Classic Snickerdoodle Cookies

What's better than a Snickerdoodle Cookie? Not much!

  1. Using an electric mixer on low speed, beat softened butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla in a large bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Slowly blend the dry mixture into the butter mixture.
  4. For best results, place dough on an un-greased cookie sheet in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes. This will also help when you're rolling the dough into cookie balls.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°.
  6. Mix 3 tbsp. of sugar and 3 tbsp. of cinnamon in a small bowl.
  7. Using a tablespoon-full of cookie dough, gently roll into a ball.
  8. Coat the balls of dough in the sugar mixture and place on chilled cookie sheet.
  9. Bake 11-13 minutes.
  10. Remove cookies from cookie sheet immediately and place on cooling rack.
